How exciting to see big brands such as Canadian company Aldo, supporting the talent of British graduates and ambitious designers alike.
Following suit we are starting to see an increase in major design companies investing their money in up and coming designers, with a flair for fashion providing opportunities for expansion.
We see Aldo take this initial step forward collaborating with three of our favorite up and coming designers; Preen, Mark Fast and JW Anderson.
The outcome of this unison of creativity pays off in the luxury, quality designs marking the beginning of collaborations to come.
JW Anderson positively expresses his views on collaborations, "They represent modernity. At this time of year and with the today's fashion market, they make so much sense. Collaborations help so much. Aldo offers incredibly quality for the high street -they helped me design shoes in a way I couldn't have done on my own, from production to marketing."
Amongst our favorites are the baby blue court shoe heels with a cute cutwork pattern following the contours of the sleek design and the fierce African inspired feather sandals.
At a small price of £125-£135, we can’t wait to get our hands on this striking collection, which are available to buy in one of Selfridges pop-up stores in London, now.
If like me you live what seems a million miles from London, the collection will be available online at asos.com, shortly after the month long global launch in London, proceeded by the arrival of the designs in Aldo stores in March.
