GHERARDINI'S STUNNING NEW SS2012 CAMPAIGN

Ara Softy Bag

Gherardini's new Spring Summer 2012 ad campaign featuring Eniko Mihalik is a joyful palette of vibrant colours.

Shot on the iberic island of Ibiza,  the pool side images under a gorgeous blue summer sky and a warm sun certainly mark a stark contrast with what we have here in Geneva, grey skies, snow, ice and a bitterly cold wind (la Bise)!   Add to that Gherardini's absolutely stunning bags......and we Green Pebbles Girls have only one thing to say......

Roll on Summer!!

Derek Lam's 'Sartorialist' Pre Fall 2012 - 2013 Collection

Inspired by the impeccably dressed italian men with a dandyish twist, so frequently pictured on The Sartorialist, and who you'd undoubtably bump into walking down the streets of Florence during Pitti Uomo, or on a regular day in Milan for that matter!

Derek Lam has translated the 'sartorial' dandyish look into womenswear and it makes for a clean, sleek, polished and tailored look with a slightly bohemian feel to it.

Needless to say, we love it.

Pictures of course say a thousand words which is why we have a couple for you here.  Like the Lanvin coats this collection caused quite a stir chez les Green Pebbles girls as we were unable to agree which pics to choose from!

In the end we settled on this amazing tailored suit, a stunning bottle green coat, and a casual yet sleek and elegant jacket and trouser combination.  For more images visit the Vogue.com

LEONARDO DA VINCI'S BAG "PRETIOSA" FINALLY UNVEILED!

A handbag design based on a sketch by Leonardo da Vinci, dating to the end of the 15th century was finally unveiled today concurrently with the 9th edition of the Pitti Immagine in Florence, by  historic Florentine brand Gherardini .

The  "Pretiosa" embodies a philological and provocative idea conceived by Gherardini with the Leonardo Da Vinci Ideal Museum.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that any of us will be able to ever own a  "Pretiosa" since  Gherardini will only be producing 99 which will be sold with a book on Leonardo da Vinci's renaissance art.

Not all is lost however,  should you wish to at least have a peek at the  "Pretiosa" it  will be on show at the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno, Via Orsanmichele, 4, Florence until the 13th January.   Book your plane tickets now!
